How DailyPay Took Control of Its Prospecting Workflow

A prospecting workflow that gave reps no visibility—and too little control

DailyPay offers earned wage access, also known as on-demand pay. Peter Kaldas, Senior Systems Data Analyst, oversees the company’s go-to-market AI infrastructure, data augmentation, and Salesforce data quality. His work starts with sourcing trustworthy prospect data and extends through designing the systems that help DailyPay’s BDRs, sales reps, and directors act on it.

Before Frontier, DailyPay’s sales team used a prospecting extension connected to Salesforce and Salesloft. It could send a contact from LinkedIn into Salesforce, but the workflow broke down when sellers wanted to add that person to a specific cadence. Because the two systems were not reliably in sync, an earlier cleanup uncovered roughly 200,000 mismatched records between Salesforce and Salesloft.

To avoid making the mismatch worse, DailyPay had to turn off the option to add contacts directly to cadences. Instead, the team used broad automated cadences based on industry. That solved a systems problem, but it removed an important part of a rep’s outbound motion: the ability to choose the exact cadence they believed would work for a particular person.

“Cadences are designed to be personal and kind of like what works for you. It’s like… your magic touch.”
— Peter Kaldas, Senior Systems Data Analyst at DailyPay

The old extension also operated as a black box. When an export failed, neither sellers nor administrators could see whether the cause was a duplicate, missing data, or another condition. For a technical GTM team trying to support a large sales organization, that lack of visibility made issues harder to resolve and the workflow harder to improve.

A controlled path from contact selection to the right cadence

Frontier gave DailyPay the flexibility to build the workflow its systems and sellers required. Behind the extension, Clay first checks whether a record already exists in Salesforce. It can create a new record when needed, enrich missing details, and then account for the Salesforce-to-Salesloft sync before finding the corresponding Salesloft contact and adding that person to the cadence the rep selected.

The new flow preserves the one-to-one relationship DailyPay maintains between Salesforce and Salesloft. It also replaces a broad, industry-based automation with a more deliberate action: a seller can select the specific cadence that fits their outreach strategy.

“We get to be in control from A to Z.”

Just as important, Frontier communicates what happened. Reps can see whether a contact reached Salesforce, Salesloft, and the intended cadence. If something fails, the workflow can return the reason—such as a missing last name—so the seller can fix it or ask an administrator for help instead of wondering where hundreds of contacts went.

More choice in the data waterfall, better confidence in the data

DailyPay also uses Frontier and Clay to move beyond a single-provider approach to contact data. The team can configure a waterfall across multiple data vendors, tune the order for emails and phone numbers, and balance availability, quality, and enrichment cost.

Peter says the wider set of sources has made contact information more available and helped reduce email bounces. Phone reachability improved as well, giving the team more usable paths to a prospect. The ability to revise the waterfall alongside Frontier’s implementation team has made the system more practical to run—not just easier to deploy.

“With Exportly, it was much better because, again, you give them that insight as to what’s happening behind the scenes.”

Onboarding built for a high-volume rollout

DailyPay planned to roll Frontier out to more than 50 users, many of whom export hundreds of contacts every week. That scale made prompt, hands-on implementation support essential—especially while the team was also managing other urgent projects.

Peter describes the onboarding as a Frontier strength. The team used a shared Slack channel, live working sessions, and rapid workflow troubleshooting to address issues as they surfaced. That experience helped DailyPay move past the normal learning curve of a new tool and gave sellers confidence that help was available when they needed it.

“Your onboarding process was phenomenal. The level of support and guidance that we got from your teams, specifically Sergio, it was above and beyond.”
— Peter Kaldas

For DailyPay, the result is a prospecting workflow that gives sellers their control back while giving GTM Systems the technical visibility and orchestration it needs: more flexible data sourcing, better-informed cadence selection, and a clear path from a selected contact to action.
